A prayer by Sean Kiley: My Lord, My Light.
The very thing that started this nightmare
Began with drugs and all the sins that I had done
brought my life to a damaging halt
Cant believe how the beauty ended all at my fault
Didn't know where to turn
Or how to end this horrible burn.
Little did I know how close the answer was
Staring me in the face...now that's a buzz,
Now I found Him, beautiful and rich
My suffering is over, He pulled me from the ditch.
Today I wake, my head no longer clouded
I learn to love the very thing I doubted.
Always and forever, Ill live in His grace
No more of this unforgettable race.
To know He sent His only begotten Son
To die on the cross for us, The Great One.
My Lord, my Light shines in me brightly
Fulfilled I am and hereon in I'll step lightly.
Never again will I repeat
That horrible life is now so sweet
Sitting in my cell with no more sin
This is the best I've felt so deep within
Never again will I be without my Lord
He is my very being, what I've learned and adored. (SK Aug '06)
