A Message From Gez

When we began this project it quickly became apparent that peoples hearts were being touched, that peoples minds were excited and their spirits enthused with the philosophy, the vision and the hope for a house such as Tabor. Offers of help and support have come in large and small ways. Such help has been in the form of financial assistance, bags of sugar, home-cooked meals and sweat equity. It has also been in the form of prayer, of time, of an encouraging word as well as in the form of contacts, suggestions and advice. When we started this we had little more than an idea. We have sat down with people, been in meetings, traveled to facilities, eaten lunches, read books, searched the internet and so on and people have been very kind. We came to the realization that there are those who wish to help but can do so only indirectly or infrequently we also realized that we cannot survive without such help. That conclusion spawned what has become an affiliate program known as The Friends of Tabor.

Linda Repici has also come to us through her Church activities and has spent much time as a respected member of both the neighborhood and the business community. Linda has taken over from Carol McInerney as the chief delegate for the Friends of Tabor and has also joined the board of directors. We are deeply appreciative of all the work both women have accomplished in their efforts to help support the Tabor House and the communal way of life we are striving to uphold.
